Valerie Bradley-Holliday Ph.D. 

Writing ever since she’s been able to hold a pencil Valerie Bradley-Holliday, Ph.D. loves to write and do research, and believes sharing different cultural perspectives can enrich people’s lives.

Valerie has published two books and her third book is on the way. Hard work and determination are Valerie’s best friends. After being raised by her grandmother, she put herself through undergraduate school by working as a kitchen helper and Certified Nurse’s Aide. Her doctorate degree is from the Union Institute and University, a distance-learning program based in Cincinnati, Ohio. She specializes in Social Psychology. She has a Master’s of Social Work Degree from Wayne State University.

She has taught several classes at the undergraduate and graduate-level for ground and online colleges. Valerie maintains her credentialing as Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her professional experience includes Medical Social Work for a health department and hospitals. She also served as a counselor at Finlandia University.

Valerie has varying interests, including; art, singing, gardening, beading, and reading, but her first love has always been in writing. Valerie originally from Illinois, married a Marquette native in 1985. She lives in Marquette, MI with her husband, their three sons, and three adopted dogs.
