Bill Davie

Bill Davie – Negaunee Township, Michigan

I am a multimedia artist who enjoys capturing images and building stories with photography, video and writing.   I have also published a novel on Amazon Kindle called The Prophesist.    My educational background includes a BA in Mass Communications from the University of Denver, an MA in English Fiction Writing, and an adjunct faculty position at Northern Michigan University in Media Production and New Technology.

The images that I have provided of the Upper Peninsula show some of the enchanted places that make the UP unique.  From Fairy Queen’s Island in the Sylvania Wilderness near Watersmeet, to the Gnomes of Silver Mountain in the Sturgeon River Wilderness near Baraga, to the haunted historic homes of Fayette, to the angels watching over sailors from Miner’s Castle at Pictured Rocks, to the mighty Tahquamenon Falls, then to the lighthouses and ships of the Great Lakes, and to one of the most enchanted places on Earth ‒ Mackinac Island as the sail boat, Fancy Free, catches the wind by the Grand Hotel.  Some photographers chase the drama of nature.  I seek the magic and tranquility.
